With some delay, we still want to wish you all the best for 2025!!!

The year has started off well and seems to be shaping up to be really exciting.
I don’t know how you feel when you look into the future. It all seems so wobbly and uncertain. Things are changing incredibly fast, and some of it could even be quite frightening.
I want to share a brief word with you:
Our daughter often dreams of things that then happen exactly as she dreamed. We’ve come to take this very seriously, and many times, it has helped prepare us for upcoming events.
At some point, just before the end of the year, she heard the number 1929. It was clearly said as a year, but without any explanation. The number meant nothing to her. It didn’t immediately ring any bells for me either. If you’re more knowledgeable about history, of course, you won’t need to google it.
However, when you ask Google, the major event of 1929 immediately comes up. That was the start of the Great Depression. In Europe, it was Black Friday, and in the USA, Black Thursday (due to time zone differences, Europe had already entered Friday, while the US was still on Thursday), when the stock market crashed in both places. Suddenly, savings lost their value, stock prices plummeted, money became devalued… and the whole world plunged into a crisis.
This dream was very short. It came without a time frame or further details.
But I believe God wants to encourage us to prepare for something similar to what happened in 1929.
Even though this isn’t entirely new to us and financial experts have been warning about it for some time, it’s still significant how God made this clear to someone who had never heard of 1929 and who definitely hadn’t had such thoughts in their head.
We should probably give more thought to how we can prepare for such an event.
I am convinced that we don’t need to be afraid. The Lord warns us, gives us wisdom, provides for us… And based on other things the Lord has spoken to me, I believe that the time ahead will be an incredibly strong and richly blessed one—provided, of course, that we are among those who stay close to the Lord.
Nevertheless, I want to share a few thoughts with you that I’ve had based on this dream.
Of course, I first did some research in the Bible. It’s often reported in both the Old and New Testaments how God uses prophets to prepare His people for future events. For example, we read in the New Testament about a prophet named Agabus who predicted a famine that later came to pass.
‘Famine’ is probably the biblical term corresponding to an economic crisis.
Now, there are natural precautions one can take. For example, Joseph stored up a lot of supplies to get through the years of famine.
Stockpiling food and essential goods makes sense. I’ve already shared some recommendations, emphasizing that you shouldn’t just hoard carbohydrates and toilet paper, but also include good fats and especially superfoods like Moringa, Supernutri, Phytoplankton, etc., because nutrients are so important. (If you’re interested, I can send you the list of recommendations).
Today, everyone who has money in the bank should also consider what to do with it. Our currencies (even the Swiss Franc) are very vulnerable. Gold and silver would be safe alternatives (I have a friend who can advise you on that). If you know about cryptocurrency and are more risk-tolerant, you could think about that as well. But even safer—especially for those who don’t have huge reserves—is to buy things you can use to feed yourself and create an income. Ask yourself, what can you offer that others need, and what do you need to do it? For example, if you buy an axe, you can split wood for yourself and for anyone who doesn’t have an axe…
Also, make sure to have enough items for bartering! For me, that would be things like tinctures, oils, and products that help with illnesses. Those will always be in demand.
Even more important than all of that is investing in good relationships now. If you team up and help each other, you can get through any crisis. If you don’t have a garden, team up with someone who does! Maybe you can already invest with either money or labor to ensure people will be taken care of.
In addition to these and many other practical preparations, I discovered something else during my Bible study:
What was the reaction of the people when Agabus predicted the famine in Antioch?
They immediately collected money, not to store up supplies for themselves, but to send a donation to the church in Jerusalem. Note that the famine was predicted for Antioch, not for Jerusalem. So, it wasn’t just about showing sympathy and giving charity to the poor. Rather, I believe the Christians wanted to demonstrate that, in this time, they were placing their trust in God. They knew the principle of sowing and reaping, which Jesus and Paul had taught. They understood that when they gave to God and invested in His kingdom, they would reap from His kingdom.
Alongside all the sensible things one could do now, it’s even more important to connect with the one source that will never run dry and to build your life on the only foundation (the rock) that will never shake. Where is your security? Who is your provider? What are you placing your trust in?
Often, it requires a step of faith in giving to demonstrate that.
I’m not a theorist in this. I’ve experienced this personally many times. How many times have I sown my last bit, even though I really needed it myself? How many times have I received small or large amounts (usually at the last minute) when I needed it? So many times, I found myself in impossible situations and was provided with exactly what was needed at that time. I’ve been in the wilderness somewhere in China with no money and no way out, and God provided. I’ve been in Myanmar in the middle of a war zone for a multi-day healing crusade event with over 1,000 people, and on the last day, I still had no money to cover the costs. At the last minute, the exact amount we needed came from an unexpected source. Another time I’ve checked out of a hotel without money and received an envelope at the reception with my name on it, containing exactly the amount I owed. I’ve been standing at the checkout with a cart full of groceries, and watched as bills multiplied in my hand… And I could share countless more stories of divine protection, guidance, and spiritual blessings, filling entire books.
Well, I am firmly convinced that giving is the key to such experiences. You’ll experience divine provision when you become dependent on God. Moreover, it’s said: “If you are not faithful with entrusted worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” Who are you dependent on? God or Mammon?
Back to the story of Agabus:
Why was it the Jerusalem church that was supposed to receive the gift?
Giving and sowing doesn’t just mean giving something away. Where you give is just as important. It should be sown into God and His kingdom (good soil) to bear good fruit.
At that time, the Jerusalem church was the greatest manifestation of God’s kingdom. The apostles were there, the gospel came from there, and the prophet Agabus, who served the community, was also from Jerusalem. What they had in terms of spiritual life in Antioch came from Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the ‘Apostolic Hub’ of the time, and they had a well-organized system for distributing gifts, which were laid at the apostles’ feet.
Should we now all send our money to Jerusalem?
The Bible clearly distinguishes between the natural and spiritual Jerusalem. While blessing Jerusalem and Israel today has its significance, the place that represents the Kingdom of God for you, and the ministry that gives you spiritual life, will likely be something else.
For example, the church in Antioch itself later became the 'Apostolic Hub,' where Paul, Barnabas, and others were sent out to carry the gospel to many places around the world. Today, there are other ‘Apostolic Hubs’ or places where the Kingdom of God is manifested in different ways. Those would be good places to sow into. I am convinced that God gives guidance when you ask Him. The main thing is to give to the Lord, so it’s important for you to know where He is manifesting Himself on Earth for you.
In my Bible study, this thought was confirmed again and again.
I read about Isaac in Genesis 26: "Now there was a famine in the land, likewise the first famine that occurred in the days of Abraham."
The famine in Abraham's time was so severe that Abraham went down to Egypt to survive.
The famine in Isaac's time was also quite intense. (Such times seem to repeat throughout history.)
How did Isaac respond?
While Abraham was led to Egypt, as well as Jacob two generations later (the story of Joseph), God spoke to Isaac: "Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you."
It’s important to listen to God and be open to everything He says! And then it says: "Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him."
Isaac didn’t ration his last supplies to make them last as long as possible. He sowed right in the middle of the famine. And the Lord gave him a rich harvest, so that all his enemies could see that he was the blessed of the Lord.
Sowing means placing your trust in God. He gives the growth, the increase, and the fruit. He can do that even in the midst of famine. When everything is unstable and uncertain, He is our solid rock. Whoever is founded on Him will not be shaken, even if everything else is.
Believe me, when I sat down to write this text, I didn’t intend to write a "fundraising sermon," let alone make a direct appeal for donations to us. But this biblical message is very clear and could make a huge difference for you—either a blessing or a curse. Therefore, I don’t want to leave it unsaid.
There are many more biblical examples to back this up. For instance, the widow in Elijah’s time who gave her last piece of bread to the prophet and was supernaturally provided for throughout the entire famine...
Listening to God is especially important in today’s times. Whoever follows His guidance will be blessed.
God’s guidance is not always the same! Being close to Him and having a listening ear is crucial.
Abraham only went to Egypt for a short time.
Isaac stayed in the land and sowed.
Jacob went to Egypt, where he and his descendants settled in Goshen.
Joseph was sent ahead to prepare supplies and the land of Goshen for his people.
If the Lord leads you to another place, you should definitely obey in time!
If He leads you to make preparations, you should do so wisely!
If you’re called to sow, sow correctly and generously!
In our case, the Lord already led us to Tenerife years ago, before we even knew why. Today, we’re busy building a ‘Goshen’ where others can also be cared for.
There are certainly many more ‘Josephs’ who have already been positioned by God.
Currently, I believe that many will still be moved to the right places, and a lot of networking is taking place. The people of God must come together! John 17 is a word for this year.
So:
Don’t let yourself be overwhelmed and don’t fear!
Place your trust fully in God!
Listen to God and do what He says!
Connect with your brothers and sisters!
Sow now for a good harvest!
May the Lord give you ears to hear! May He give you an obedient heart and wisdom to do things right! May He place you, connect you, provide for you, and bless you with His Shalom!!
Pray for us too! We need reinforcements, acceleration, and provision to do all that is to happen here.
I will soon share more about our association and how you can participate.
Anyone who would like to support this cause in any way is welcome to get in touch.
A heartfelt Shalom.
